Men's Basketball Picks Up Win Over Gators

The College of Southern Maryland Hawks men's basketball team holds a 3-3 overall record after beating the Virginia Peninsula Community College Gators on November 11.

After dropping a close 82-80 loss to the Middlesex College Colts on November 10, the Hawks responded the next day with a 95-87 victory over the Gators.

Sophomore guard Ryan Blakey had a team-high 33 points; he shot 9-17 from the floor, 3-6 from beyond the arc, and 12-15 from the free-throw line. Blakey also had seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals.

Sophomore guard Magic Hewlett collected his third double-double of the year; he grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds to go along with 14 points.

Sophomore guard Reggie Washington recorded his second 30-point game of the season with 30 against the Gators.
